About Us

Forty-two years ago, in a small village in the United Kingdom, my grandmother Viviane opened the doors of a shop with little more than a dream.

She didn't have many resources — just boundless enthusiasm, long hours of work, and the firm conviction that if she treated everyone with kindness, everything else would fall into place.

Over the decades, that little shop became much more than a place to buy clothes. It was a place where people would come in looking for an item of clothing and leave feeling listened to, valued and a little happier. My grandmother knew every customer by name. She arranged each shop window with a care that's impossible to explain, and she always said the same thing:

"A shop doesn't sell clothes. It makes people feel good."

I grew up within those walls. While other children played in the park, I learnt to fold clothes, attach labels, and watch as my grandmother made everyone who walked through the door feel special. Without realising it, she wasn't just teaching me a trade — she was teaching me a way of life.

Over the years, her health meant she had to slow down. And one day I realised that the greatest gift she could give me wasn't the shop. It was trusting me to carry on her legacy.

She built a home for her community. I wanted to build a bridge so that home could reach much further afield. That's why, while she set up a shop in a small UK village, I decided to open its doors to the world by creating our online shop.

Because I realised it wasn't about changing her dream. It was about helping it grow.

Today she's no longer here to open the door every morning — but she's still with me in every order I prepare, in every message I reply to, in every detail I take care of, and in every decision I make, asking myself how she would have done it.

They say legacies are inherited. I believe they're honoured. And the best way I've found to honour hers was to take her spirit to places she never imagined it could reach — without ever losing what made her shop so special from day one: making everyone feel at home.

Thank you, Grandma, for teaching me that dreams don't have to end with one generation. Sometimes, they were just waiting for someone else to take them a little further.

With all my love,
Your granddaughter, Paris ❤️
